Title: Production Associate/Forklift Operator
Reports To: Plant Manager
About McIntosh: McIntosh Box & Pallet is a packaging company that has been in business for over 58 years with 400+ employees across twelve locations. We have seven Plants in New York State, two in West Virginia, one in Virginia, one in Maryland, and one in North Carolina. We are searching for a highly qualified individual to help us in our Palermo, NY facility.
Main Purpose of Job: We are looking for a technically skilled individual with excellent attention to detail for the position of Outside Forklift Operator. This role will be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and be a team player!
Shift: 12:00pm - 8:30pm M-F
Duties:
- Run wood processing equipment such as Cut-Off saws, Notchers, and Stake Pointers
- Build specialty pallets and skids
- Operate a forklift
- Perform maintenance on equipment such as changing blades and greasing
- Keep production areas clean and organized
- Adhere to safety management standards
- Comply with company policies and safety guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
- Operate and manage technical equipment
Required Skills:
- Forklift experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
