Production Associate Job Description

Walt’s Homestyle Foods, a division of Stensland Family Farms, is searching for an honest, reliable Production Team Lead to assist in our smokehouse production. Responsibilities overseeing our production team, preparing, and packaging of food products while adhering to strict USDA & Food safety guidelines.

To be successful as a Production Team Lead you must demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, an ability to plan and adapt, be timely, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Production Associate Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions/recipe guidelines for food production and preparation.
• Oversee the completion of daily/weekly/monthly production goals set by management.
• Adhere to USDA and Food Safety guidelines.
• Ensure the company’s HAACP Plans for each product produced are being followed.
• Fill out daily/weekly/monthly reports and forms as required by management.
• Communicate with management throughout the day.
• Interact with co-workers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Production Associate Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• 18 years of age or older.
• 2+ years in a USDA Inspected facility and/or equivalent food production setting.
• 2+ years management experience.
• Experience working with and adhering to HAACP Plans preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
• The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout the workday.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• A willingness to work overtime when required.
• Is comfortable with extended periods of standing.
• An ability to perform basic math skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• The ability to take direction and be trained.
• Positive attitude.

Candidates who are offered and accept this position will be subject to annual performance reviews. Annual performance reviews will evaluate the individual’s ability to properly perform the above-stated tasks. The ability to perform these responsibilities above expectation will result in an annual bonus, pay raise, or other incentivization as determined by the supervisor. Failure to perform as expected, or below expectation will result in the employee not being eligible for an annual bonus, pay raise, or other incentivization, and may result in corrective action.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
