PLANT/DEPARTMENT: Production Control DIRECTED BY: Production Contr. Mgr.
IMPORTANT WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Shop Floor Teams, Manufacturing Engineering, Programmers, Inventory Control, Supply Chain
DIRECTS: None
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Work with all functional areas to assure production needs are met.

Basic Word/Excel Skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Job often requires long hours of sitting/computer usage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Work with all functional areas to assure production needs are met.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Generate and release shop orders (S/O’s) to production floor utilizing the Master Schedule.
- Assure released shop orders contain all the correct and current data needed for production, such as drawings, ECN’s, process sheets, special instructions and/or procedures.
- Monitor S/O status (open, closed and in process) on work released to the floor.
- Assist in the development of and monitoring of production schedules.
- Work closely with all functional areas to ensure that the production plans fulfill customer requirements.
- Maintains the material shortage list for production, supply chain and program managers – available on the Intranet.
- Create requisitions for sub-contracting, work with supply chain, keep status of sub-contracted items.
- Create and update other reports as required.
- Miscellaneous duties as required.
