Cell Lead (Production)

Work location: Trumbull, CT

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead daily production tier meetings and report output to management.
• Maintain a safe working environment and understand/follow safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Monitor and adhere to daily production schedule and ensure effective and efficient use of staff and equipment.
• Support team to meet daily goals whether stepping into help or aligning staff to company needs.
• Identify training needs and conduct trainings on operations equipment and/or work and safety procedures.
• Drive operational improvements and efficiencies to improve throughput throughout the site.
• Contributes to a high-performance work team with high levels of associate morale, satisfaction, and performance.
• Record keeping for all documentations needed for production, i.e., work orders, method sheets, training records, travelers.
• Working directly with department manager and cross functional teams on all aspects of planning and scheduling of department duties.
• Assist shift supervisor to see that all manufacturing orders are followed through properly and to completion.
• Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing proper PPE during the entire duration of shift.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma required, or equivalent experience.
• Two to five years of related leadership experience or other transferable skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written, oral and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or method sheets to produce parts.
