Position Summary: The Production Operations Manager is wholly responsible for managing the polyurethane molding quality process and operations at Meridian Laboratory. Overseeing an amazing team of approximately 4-8 dedicated production members, this position is involved with all facets with day-to- day production within a stable, growing, and respectful company where all ideas are heard.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedule with production personnel.
  • Administer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and make changes per production and manufacturing processes developed.
  • Monitor stock inventory and coordinate materials needed for production.
  • Work with both sales & production teams to ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Assess received orders and determine production process, dates, and scheduling.
  • Communicate with customers occasionally regarding ship dates and quality requirements.
  • Manage work orders to ensure customer orders are met.
  • Coordinate with vendors and purchase materials for on track for delivery.
  • Allocate and delegate personnel to optimize production.
  • Analyze production flow and determine weaknesses and bottlenecks; work with production and management to correct these findings.
  • Coordinate machining of parts, tooling, and other production related needs.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed within production environment.
  • Review and manage inbound purchase orders, and communicate with customers when necessary.
  • Document and enforce machine maintenance procedures and schedule.
  • Work with production to ensure quality and consistency requirements are met.
  • Perform first article inspections on parts.
  • Coordinate with production & engineering to troubleshoot problems associated with new and current parts, processes, and equipment.
  • Determine necessary quality control checkpoints throughout various manufacturing processes.
  • Produce, sign-off on, and maintain records of all Certificates of Conformance (COC).

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of experience as Production and/or Operations Manager, preferably within smaller organization
  • 5+ Years of experience in manufacturing and production environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, machine shop practices, tolerances, and other production processes
  • Familiarity with standard materials used in machinery building, such as metals, plastics, etc.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISO certification process

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
