About Us:

We are a small but rapid growing Cosmetics/Skincare Contract Manufacturing company located in the Tampa Bay area. We are looking for a Production Manager in our cosmetics manufacturing site in St. Petersburg, FL. This significant role as a Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily production process, managing and motivating a team to achieve productivity, safety, and departmental goals. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sense of responsibility and ownership, ability to motivate a performance-driven team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Leading the production floor managing and overseeing a team of 6-10 people

· Meet and exceed all client service requirements

· Planning production schedules and ensuring that the production process is carried out within budget and on time

· Assessing project and resource requirements

· Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met

· Working with QA and determining quality control standards

· Follow and enforce all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices

· Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary

· Supervising and managing the work of junior staff

· Organizing relevant training sessions

· Coordinate with the maintenance manager on the preventative and emergency maintenance required for operational equipment

Skills and Qualifications:

· 5+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role

· Demonstrated leadership skills in a manufacturing environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced environment

· Capacity to manage rapid growth that requires changes to systems and facilities

· Be service-oriented, team-oriented, creative, and passionate about your work

· High attention to detail and a sense of urgency

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong operations management skills

· Possess excellent problem-solving skills

· Managing work in a professional manner and working well with others

Position details

• Permanent, full-time position; hours are Mon-Thu 7:00am-4:00pm and Fri 7:00am-1:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
