WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager with at least 5 years of experience overseeing broadcast, webcast and live action productions, particularly in live studio shows.

You have a proven track record of effectively managing projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget. Your expertise includes leading support staff and collaborating with various departments from preparation to post-production. This is a highly skilled position that requires a high degree of self-direction, independent decision-making and the ability to fulfill the qualifications listed below. JOB TITLE: Production Manager

REPORTS TO: Director of Production Operations

FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt, Salary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between our company and clients to ensure projects are managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the production of various types of content, including live multi-camera studio shows and field shoots.
  • Collaborate with the core production team to ensure technical specifications are aligned with creative elements.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of production schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of budgets and constraints to ensure the project is managed within financial parameters.
  • Supervise production crews comprising 50 or more people, delegating tasks to support staff as necessary while ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Responsible for hiring crew and coordinating payroll.
  • Work with Line Producer and Production Coordinator on budget actualizing and reconciliation;
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during the course of a production.
  • Prepare project status updates as required to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Represent the company with discretion and good judgment when dealing with clients, talent, and crew members.
  • Work efficiently and effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong understanding of how to manage an efficient production.
  • Perform other duties assigned to you as needed

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Work Environment:

  • This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers;
  • This position routinely requires one to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or run and to do so outside, occasionally in inclement weather;
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance;
  • Must be able to operate various electronic devices including recording, video and photography equipment; and
  • Must be able to work at a computer or audio equipment for long periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work (HYBRID): This is a full-time Hybrid role which is defined as a combination of remote and in Office / On-site work within the Greater Seattle Area (King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties). You are expected to work in the office or in person as directed by your manager. When there is no onsite work, this role will be expected to work from a remote location. The office generally operates from 9am-5pm, but days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week. A willingness to work varying schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours) and/or travel as needed is required for productions. Work location may vary due to Covid protocols and safety. Mighty Media’s workplace policies are subject to change at any time based on business necessity and manager discretion.

  • Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $75,000-$88,000 Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
