GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• To assist in the successful goal of providing our customers with the highest quality tools in our industry, paying close attention to quality and safety while meeting preset goals of production and attendance and displaying a positive attitude toward all employees and supervision.

Brief Description: The Production Operator position consolidates parts, shapes and alters materials, and operates machinery. Work areas are subject to change as production needs shift.

• Communicates with supervisors and material handlers about material needs
• Builds products and adjusts materials using standard hand tools, air tools, and power tools
• Performs hourly quality checks on product
• Meets various hourly production goals
• Labels, packages, palletizes, and tapes products and materials
• Maintains a clean work area
• Actively ensures that all safety requirements and procedures are met at all times
• Other duties and project work as assigned by supervisors

• Attention to detail, communication, and maintaining quality while meeting production requirements are essential skills
• Must be able to use standard hand tools, air tools, and power tools
• Must be able to use tablets and basic computer software such as FutureCell, Axapta, and programs specific to their department
• Ability to calculate, reason, problem solve, and read and write in English
• Frequent standing, walking, gripping, and reaching as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level
• Lifting up to 40 lbs without assistance
