Production Operator
The Opportunity
Daikin is seeking individuals to join our manufacturing team as Production Operators at our DTTP Facility located in Waller, TX. We are currently looking for candidates who are available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift. The department in which the production operator will be assigned may include; Assembly, Sheet-metal, Coils, Paint, Plastics, Tubing/Wiring or Materials. The Company provides in-house training for all new hires through its state of the art DOJO - Knowledge Center.
The Production Operator may be responsible for lifting, loading, transferring of products/materials, operating machines, and assembling materials, parts and goods on assembly lines or designated workstations. May use hand tools, wires, etc. to produce and deliver a quality product in a safe and timely manner for internal and external customers. Performs work to ensure timely delivery of quality products for internal and external customers. Eliminates scrap and additional costs using zero defects methods. Follows the safety policies, housekeeping, company policies and work instructions.

Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman.

Knowledge & Skills & Physical Abilities:
- Able to read, understand and follow work instructions
- Ability to safely operate air and hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets and screwguns
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment
- Ability to perform physical labor and repetitive movement through entire shift
- Physical stamina and strength required; transferring, loading, unloading, lifting parts for long periods
- Ability to stand long periods of time, 8-10 hours a day
- Ability to move quickly and safely to meet proper production numbers
- Ability to perform work that meets company standards with limited supervision
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to get along well, communicate timely and accurately with co-workers, supervisors and team leads
- Ability to pass in-house training program
- Ability to work any shift and weekends as needed
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
Experience & Education:
- Prior manufacturing, assembly, machine operations experience is a plus
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Successful Completion of In-House Training
- On the job training is required through our DOJO program (The training is provided to the production line operators so they can learn how to perform their basic job functions up to company standards. The initial training period lasts up to 1 week in most cases. During training, operators have to be monitored by supervisor and/or managers until they confirm these tasks are being carried out properly
