Overview:
Union position with fully paid company family health care plan. This position operates manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line and/or fills seals and packages product. He or she removes damaged product or supplies as needed. Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently. Position requires lifting/carrying over/between 25 & 50 lbs repeatedly during the course of 10 – 12 hour work periods. This position requires standing, walking most if not all of the shift and may include stooping, crawling and crouching over and under conveyors. Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities are to perform production activities for equipment start up/set up using GMP & Brooklyn Bottling quality standards as guidelines to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.- The removal of, or shifting of, raw materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate the proper flow and operation of filling machinery.
- Operator must ensure package and product quality. He or she must operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and in a safe manner and know how to change filler for start-up as well as being capable of performing a flavor change as dictated by the production schedule when necessary.
- Must clean and sanitize tanks, line, and fillers at quality controls discretion and timetable while also changing the three filters needed to screen product before filling.
- Also responsible for cleaning equipment and area during and after shift with an emphasis on maintaining a clean work area with general housekeeping practices.
- To expedite repairs, working and communicating with line supervisors and mechanics as needed.
- Keep records daily if so required.
