Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all work order requests for lab scale instrumentation on the SSF campus and helps to ensure all customer commitments are met.
  • Focus on helping the assigned maintenance work centers achieve successful execution of both repetitive maintenance and customer-initiated work according to GMP, EHS, and customer requirements.
  • Acts as a key point of contact between customers, vendors, and our internal partners as required to meet departmental service delivery objectives.
  • The Planner / Scheduler’s role is to support the FOM Department in:
    • Planning & Scheduling Maintenance Work in accordance with applicable SOPs
    • Reporting and evaluating Metrics against desired outcomes
    • Benchmarking Support Activities and suggesting improvements
    • Running report in CMMS and CCMS as needed to meet customer requests
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance and repairs for equipment, instruments and systems located at SSF site to ensure customer service levels are maintained.
  • Maintaining a 4 to 6 weeks Planned Work horizon to ensure on-time completion by the Basic Finish Date.
  • Meeting with customers and physically inspecting work locations as needed to plan for successful execution.
  • Partnering with MRO to determine availability and/or order parts necessary to complete work orders.
  • Determining estimated labor hours to execute planned operational activities and monitor actual versus planned work times to help achieve departmental goals for planning accuracy, and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with all stakeholders, including, but not limited to, MRO Stores, vendors, contractors, customers, document control, CMMS administrators.
  • Monitors the CMMS database to ensure accuracy and shepherds changes as needed: equipment master data, task lists, and maintenance plans.
  • Achieving schedule efficiency scheduling and bundling jobs based on location, equipment type, technician training, and work load capacity.
  • Providing input to management in order to optimize resources and capacity and meet objectives for efficiencies, inventory levels, and customer service.
  • Assisting in the development of documented procedures for all planning and scheduling processes.
  • Assist department manager in providing information and data to ensure on-time performance of maintenance with minimal downtime.
  • Assist in developing and integrating innovative work order processing solutions that lead to efficiencies in the FOM Department.
  • Assist in developing operational excellence / continuous improvement initiatives and benchmarking.
  • Maintain schedule stability in terms of material and capacity requirements based on planning, training, and work load capacity by coordinating, scheduling and bundling jobs.
  • Completing other tasks and projects as determined by supervisor.

  • BS or BA degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong communication, customer service, technical, and organizational skills are a must.
  • 3 years’ experience with facilities maintenance and repair in a Pharmaceutical or similar corporate campus environment.
  • Solid understanding of MS Windows and Microsoft office suite.
  • Experience with SAP PM software and Blue Mountain RAM software desired.
  • Experience in Planning and Scheduling of analytical and lab scale instrumentation desired.
  • Strong communication, leadership, customer service, technical, attention to details, have good problem-solving skills, dependable, proficient in coordination tasks, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work a M-F dayshift.
  • Standard work requires significant amount of keying and mousing. Must be able to accommodate extended periods of computer usage to meet business needs.
  • Must be customer service oriented with good oral and written communication skills, and have pleasant telephone mannerisms.
  • Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $69,900.00-$129,900.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
