Job description
Work involves responsibility for assisting in maintaining a comprehensive and uniform maintenance program. Work includes the preparation of manpower, materials and cost estimates for individual projects and requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment and initiative in carrying out assignments
- Schedules, assigns, and reviews the work of crews of maintenance technicians and other workers in the repair, renovation, maintenance and installation of equipment throughout various County facilities.
- Conducts inspections of contract maintenance and submits maintenance budget requests.
- Prepares cost estimates on the amounts and kinds of materials, supplies, equipment and labor needs of proposed projects; orders materials, supplies and equipment.
- Prepares reports and maintains work and time records.
- Performs related work as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent and five years of progressively responsible maintenance and repair experience
