Chapin Pet Lodge Inc. is looking for a professional, friendly and highly motivated Dog Groomer to add to our staff immediately. We have been in operation for 35 years and offer an easy-going work environment with lots of clientele. We're in the process of building a brand new grooming room which will give us the opportunity to expand our grooming department. The ideal candidate will be motivated, task oriented and have the physical ability to groom multiple dogs per day. We are open from 8am-6pm Monday-Saturday and offer grooming for clients that are in house boarding with us on Sundays. Clientele already established with plenty of room for growth. Groomer will need to provide their own grooming equipment. Stationary equipment will be provided (table, tub, dryers, etc.)

Pay based on commission - 55% commission on fee of all dogs groomed for top quality groomer

Dog Groomer Requirements:

• Physical ability to lift, maintain control, and groom multiple dogs (large and small) per day
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time
• Groom dogs using specialized techniques that can vary based on condition of coat, breed and owner instructions, bathe and dry animals, trim nails, and clean ears
• Perform all general maintenance of grooming room and maintain a clean work space.
• Excellent work ethic, punctual, reliable and maintaining professional mannerism is a plus
• Patience working with all breeds

Dog Groomer Qualifications:

• 1 year of Dog Grooming experience (preferred but not required)
• Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds and using appropriate tools when needed
• Must be able to communicate efficiently with clients and offer advice about at home techniques if needed
