POSITION SUMMARY:

The Professional Technician is responsible to inspect, recommend, and repair vehicles to assure safety, reliability, and exceptional ownership experiences compliant with manufacturer (OEM)standards.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Nurture a culture of extraordinary customer and associate experiences.

  • Execute consistent processes to assure favorable customer and associate experiences.

  • Execute vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repair, QC, and documentary compliance.

  • Diagnose NVH and complex problem resolution with assistance as needed.

  • Prepare, educate and hustle to achieve optimum productivity and quality standards.

    • Productivity target >125%

    • Quality target (FRFT) >region (zero comebacks within 90 days)

  • Directly interact with Team Leader and/or Service Sales Advisors.

  • Maintain accurate paperwork, MPI, warranty documentation (CCC), flag time, clock time and notes.

  • Continuous knowledge and professional skills education.

  • Drive and park vehicles.

  • Execute customer car washes.

  • Maintain safety and exceptional cleanliness of all workstations.

  • Report progress, challenges, options, and solutions to assure outstanding results.

  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ASE certifications (8 total)

  • Achieve manufacturer “maintenance” level certification

  • Continue manufacturer certification (maintenance, certified, expert, master status)


COMPETENCIES, PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity

  • Professionalism, respectful communication, and problem resolution skills are preferred.

  • Embrace of evolving technology utilization and customer service is preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Extensive walking, bending, twisting, driving vehicles, occasional lifting (<50 pounds)

  • Fast pace, multi-tasking, attention to details

  • Efficient use of software, technology, and data-entry.

  • Seasonal weather challenges workflow.


POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • Hours may vary daily to meet business demands.

  • Typical schedules run 8 to 10 hours five or six days a week.

  • Schedule flexibility is helpful


COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND REWARDS:

  • Pay up to $40/hour plus bonuses

  • This position is compensated by flat rate commission and bonuses.

  • This position offers a weekly minimum against available clock time.

  • Benefits are outlined in the handbook.

  • Outside (manufacturer) rewards and bonuses may be offered from time to time.

  • Compensation is detailed in a separate document.
