HybridRaytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Program Area Chief Engineer (PACE) - Director to support the Space Systems group in a hybrid role based out of our El Segundo, CA facility.
This Program Area Chief Engineer (PACE) will be the engineering focal point for the Space Systems Program Area within RIS Space Systems. The selected candidate will focus on delivering emerging and disruptive solutions to priority customers, including strategic missile components, space protection, and space situational awareness. The PACE will develop a team of Chief Engineers that drive implementation for Space Systems programs and captures. Specifically, the team, at minimum, will consist of 4 direct CEs, and oversight of a total workforce of approximately 170 matrixed/subcontracted positions. This is a critical position within the Space and C2 Engineering LT, impacting $182M in annual sales and $2B in new bookings over the next 5 years.

Security Clearance: An Active and In-Scope TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance
Minimum Qualification:
- Minimum of 14 years of experience
- Experience in Aerospace or Government Defense Organizations
- Experience with implementation, process integration, Six Sigma, Quality or related process improvement methodologies
- Experienced mentor giving guidance, direction and holding people accountable for deliverables in their domain area
- Experience in implementation and administration through the use of performance metrics
Required Skills:
- Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capabilities to lead business or functional teams
- Space Systems Development experience
Education and Experience Requirements:
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically require a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

The salary range for this role is 181,000 USD - 363,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
