Job Summary
The Division of Developmental Medicine, at Boston Children’s Hospital, seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Program Coordinator to manage the day to day operations of its Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (ASAP). The ideal candidate will fully engage in the clinical program and will work to strengthen and improve systems and workflow. As part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary clinical team, the Program Coordinator will be an integral part of the success of the clinical program.

The Program Coordinator I will be responsible for:
- All intake and discharge paperwork, scheduling and coordination, including triage of incoming phone calls and follow-up as necessary.
- Maintaining scheduling templates for ASAP providers
- Maintaining ASAP email account and correspondence.
- Perform administrative tasks, and provide project support as needed.
- Outreach and communication with the primary care network including arranging the training schedule and coordinating meetings.
- Coordinating activities and daily operations of a program.
- Preparing or assisting in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
- Conferring with staff and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Referring inquiries to others as needed.
- Reviewing applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
- May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
- Drafting written communication and promotional literature.
- May assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
- Interacting and maintaining liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
- Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year of relevant experience required.
- Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
