Program Development Specialist
Job description
Job Summary: The Program Development Specialist is a member of the Planning and Evaluation Department. This position assists in the development and implementation of strategies to advance our mission; builds a framework to identify issue-based community needs; and supports measurements for efficacy and accountability of programs. The incumbent works with the Director of Planning and Evaluation to better assist other CCANO departments in program scaling, development of program business plans and oversees the agency accreditation process. The Program Development Specialist will assist with the development and monitoring of agency strategic plan as it pertains to programs.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- ANALYZES opportunities and makes recommendations on potential program strategies and assists programs with implementation.
- COMMUNICATES regularly with program staff and support departments engaged in program development.
- PARTICIPATES in the identification and assessment of community needs to facilitate decision making at the programmatic level.
- MONITORS program goals and implements processes for continuous improvement.
- LEADS the Agency accreditation process, ensuring compliance with process and acts as liaison with accreditation agency.
- WORKS with the P&E Data Manager to monitor program design, evaluate data collection and analysis to measure against CCANO interventions.
- PREPARES reports on progress related to the Strategic Plan.
- FACILITATES the bi-monthly Administrative and Collaborative Council meetings including organization of attendees and speakers, set-up of meeting location, and development of summary reports.
- PERFORMS other duties as directed by the Director of Planning and Evaluation.

Minimum Educational and General Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in social work, public health, organizational management, or related field;
- Minimum of two years related work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and prior work with databases;
- Local travel required.
