The Role
Reporting to the Senior Director,the Program Director is responsible for the overall clinical and budget management and administrative operations of his/her assigned program(s). He or she is responsible for managing and monitoring the job performance and supervision of all program employees. This position assures the quality of clinical services provided to persons served. The Program Director facilitates communication between program employees and agency administration. The Program Director will be responsible for census/utilization management and quality assurance.
What You Will Do
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Supervises and monitors therapeutic environment to ensure that behavioral guidelines are followed, a therapeutic milieu is maintained, and interpersonal relationships remain positive.
- Monitors quality, effectiveness and efficiency of Annex program’s case management services and safety of environment of care.
- Manages program services, improves existing services and develops new on-going treatment components to meet needs of persons served.
- Helps develop, implement and deploy agency policy and procedures.
- Manages Annex program services and implements on-going changes to meet emergent needs of persons served.
- Interviews, hires, trains, appraises, disciplines and may terminate subordinate staff.
- Provides administrative supervision for plant operations; ensures a safe and secure environment of care.
- Ensures social services staff maintain accurate, complete and timely case files that comply with regulatory standards and agency internal policy and procedure.
- Ensures that all program staff uphold the agency's Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics and comply with all Federal, state and local law/regulation, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- Is on call 24/7 for emergency issues and consultation.
- Reviews all supply orders and makes sure budget limits are adhered to.
- Reviews all incident reports and submits in both CARES and AVATAR systems.
- Plans, develops, and conducts in-service training to maintain and improve staff competencies.
- Participates in internal management/quality improvement committees.
- Handles Annexes Callahan, OTDA, and RSRI inspections including submission of Corrective Action Plans.
- Collaborates with relevant Annex property managers/owners specific to program operations and any other business specific to business partnership.
- Collaborates with management teams of main referring shelters to ensure smooth client transfers and other relevant information
- Represents Samaritan Village at community and public forums.
- Adheres to all responsibilities and duties of a New York State mandated reporter.
Who You Will Be
- Bachelor’s in Human Services, Social Work or related field is required. Master’s is preferred.
- At least five years of progressively more responsible Human Services management experience.
