Job Title: Program Manager Department: MSP
Expected Weekly Hours: 40 Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Vancouver, Washington OR Corvallis, Oregon
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance across the client’s product portfolio. If you are a program manager with a consumer product development background who enjoys working on large scale projects, this position is for you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Produce a summary assessment of where Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are used cross the client’s products
    • Provide a product-level break-down of components containing PFAS
  • Define and draft a “substitution risk score” to summarize the difficulty of replacing PFAS considering various factors such as availability, cost, performance of alternatives and regulatory restrictions
  • Create a dashboard of progress toward phasing out PFAS from products
  • Propose to upper management a select few PFAS-free target “halo” products that would serve as initial guideposts
  • Contribute to the development of new/improvement ideas and methods
  • Perform other duties as needed
Job Requirements
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical lead or project/program manager role; experience to include:
    • Developing data analytical tools and processes to gather, analyze, track and report data and convert that data into insights used in business decisions
    • Collaborating with global internal and external stakeholders
    • Working with ODMs during product R&D, NPI and mass production activities
    • Experience with product BOMs; parts and sub-assemblies
  • Experience managing the delegation and/or execution of action items across stakeholders
  • Experience drafting reports and presentations to upper management
  • Experience working with printer and PC products and related accessories
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with hardware manufacturing methods and practices
  • Familiarity with

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to represent complex algorithms in software
  • Ability to generate design ideas and present and sell designs and proof of concept to broader product group and management

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent email, telephone and virtual meeting etiquette
  • Customer service orientated, ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently; demonstrated organization, problem-solving, project management, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated strong ability to work well within a team environment, or independently; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, and organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively inform and present ideas confidently and persuasively to peers and managers
  • Ability to take initiative to ask questions, ask for help, or provide updates, without reluctance
  • Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for working in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
  • Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio), Teams and SharePoint

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the duties of the position.
