Position Overview:

CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build sustained, community-based response programs to natural disasters. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CORE GA provides free vaccinations and additional resources to disadvantaged communities around Georgia. The MPOX program manager will take a leading role in CORE Georgia’s activities around MPOX interventions to fortify community health preparedness and response efforts. This will be accomplished through maintaining and growing CORE’s pre-existing network of partners and coordinating with them to provide MPOX vaccination services and the distribution of HIV and STI testing kits to high-exposure risk populations.

Responsibilities:

• Network with agencies and organizations to aid in the coordination of MPOX vaccination events and the implementation of outreach among vulnerable populations.
• Coordinate with CORE operations teams and clinical subcontractors to mobilize staff for MPOX vaccination events
• Coordinate with clinical subcontractors and CORE logistics team to ensure adequate inventory of vaccine and supplies remain in stock to meet the needs of vaccination activities
• Collaborate with CORE communications team to create and implement MPOX vaccination outreach strategy
• Engage local health district offices on strategies to optimize program impact
• Attend MPOX vaccination events when needed and/or relevant
• Ensure deliverables as outlined under the program scope are met
• Oversee the reporting of MPOX program to the Georgia Department of Public Health
• Maintain knowledge and update personnel on changes in trends and status of MPOX and efforts around it
• Support development of service expansion throughout the duration of the program
• Coordinate with Area leadership on overall budget management and program direction
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in public health, community health, nursing or other related fields
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in social work or public health or other fields providing community resources and transformation
• Demonstrated experience working with people living with HIV and MSM populations
• Demonstrated experience working with underserved/under resourced communities
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing partnerships with organizations to meet needs of high exposure risk populations
• Available Full-Time, 40 hours a week
• Live in, or near the metro Atlanta area
• Access to reliable transportation to travel throughout State
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Ability to empathize and establish supportive rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or another language highly preferred
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs of the organization and adaptability in work style and work schedule, including ability to work for extended days and on weekends during critical points in the program
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
