The Behavior Treatment Center (BTC) program at Metrocare Services provides individuals with behavioral interventions so that their life and learning experiences are optimized. The Program Supervisor III supervises and mentors non-licensed staff and coordinates the day-to-day functions of the clinic. The Program Supervisor III also performs professional work in assessment and counseling or ABA for individuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the team or program according to a business profit-center model
  • Ensures team complies and meets agency performance metrics (i.e., volume, late charting, unauthorized delay, unauthorized services, minimum level of care, training).
  • Plans and directs new individual assessments and assignments of clinical services.
  • Facilitate the completion of in-depth functional assessment of maladaptive behaviors and the development of behavior programs.
  • Develop and coordinate behavioral services needed by individuals in a variety of settings
  • Utilize various assessment instruments and techniques to assist in the utilization of behavioral services
  • Responds to and de-escalates crisis situations in the program.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement new procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work processed. Ensures policies are communicated and administered consistently and fosters an environment of continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensures program staff remains current on required training records and files.
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures including government, insurance and third-party payer regulations/contractual requirements
  • Attends administrative meetings and participates in committees, as requested. Conducts special projects and studies as directed.
  • Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
  • The position ensures that there are adequate systems in place that define and monitor intake, service planning, ongoing treatment, medical record,s and transfer/discharge.
  • Provide consultation services in school and vocational workshops as indicated.
  • Participate in treatment plan meetings, ARD meetings, and other planning meetings on a regular basis
  • Provides counseling services to identified individuals.
  • Document interactions and progress of individuals
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated training and experience in individual and group counseling techniques
  • Knowledge of special needs of individuals in assigned area

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in the field of Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Applied Behavioral Analysis, or another related field. One year of successfully supervised experience in providing services, assessment and counseling.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to work with reports and numbers.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to utilize the Internet for resources.
