Summary of Duties:
The Program Support Supervisor 1 will supervise support staff involved in the
performance of duties associated with a highly specialized data collection programs for the Public Opinion Laboratory (POL). Develop and deliver basic and specialized project trainings, VoXco Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) trainings for effective program delivery to 75-100 employees per year. Act as liaison between the staff and management for 50-60 survey projects each year. Also interacts with those outside of the organization being interviewed. With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants, train new employees, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct monitoring of actual interviews, performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action. As part of a team, devise and implement new procedures. Coordinate, schedule and monitor program activities to determine consistency with project goals. Evening and weekend shifts required, as well as travel for field work as needed. As needed represent Supervisor Lead (POL Coordinator).
This position's schedule is Sunday thru Thursday 12:30pm to 9:30pm, as well as travel for field work as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of applicable experience inthe program specialty; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Program Specialty: survey research, data collection, or data entry.
- Ability to work Sunday-Thursday 12:30pm to 9:30pm.
- Ability to physically work at the Research Park in Pullman
- Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience in the survey/data collection environment.
- Proficient at VoXco or other Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) software. Familiar with how to compile a Data Entry Code Book, and report review and preparation.

Monthly Salary:
Range 41 | $3,321.00-$4,425.00 (Step A through M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
