Programs Field Representative - H11A

Annual Salary $50,136.01 + Full State Employee Benefits

Job Duties

  • Representative of state office to area offices to ensure proper interpretation and uniform application of vocational/employment policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for individuals receiving employment/vocational services.

  • Observe, analyze, and evaluate programs and the operation of services designed to meet the needs of individuals receiving employment/vocational/adult day services.

  • Develop methods for compliance with program policies and effectively achieve policy compliance for difficult issues.

  • Participate with other divisions to facilitate individual program development in vocational/employment and adult day services.

  • Participate in assigned committees. Prepare special reports and performs other duties as assigned. Gatekeeper and point person for the DRS readiness process with DRS.

  • Provide technical assistance to appropriate area or provider agency staff.

  • Conduct reviews of unusual occurrences as assigned.

  • Prepare recommendations for the resolution of identified issues.

  • Prepare or direct the preparation of related correspondence if needed. Effectively dealing with difficult issues and effectively initiating the preparation of correspondence as needed.

  • Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.


Preferred Minimum Qualifications

  • A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;

  • An equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
  • Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.
