JMT's Corporate Project Controls Team in Hunt Valley is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling of various construction projects. Sponsorship not available for this opportunity.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Tracks the status of critical activities impacting the project
  • Monitors program milestones and interdependencies
  • Analyzes project planning, schedule updates and delays
  • Provides alerts on items impacting the project schedule
  • Identifies the critical path and suggests alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule
  • Develop strategies for negotiating claims
  • Provides technical support in claims litigation
  • Write and prepare technical reports

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Required Skills

Required Experience
  • College diploma with construction knowledge and experience
  • Proficient with Primavera P3 and Primavera Project Management 6.0
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings
  • Knowledge of contract procedures and principles

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related technical field
  • Professional certification in AACE, CMAA, PMI, or PSP

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
