Project Coordinator

Prime Partners Engineering, LLC is a full-service project management, design engineering and dry utility consulting firm. The company has expertise in all aspects of electrical distribution design including residential and commercial projects, utility system improvements, solar, and complex network design. Job Description:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the Project Stakeholders with document control, project intake, project implementation, recording meeting minutes, executing on project task, communicating with other project stakeholders, and management of project scheduling. In this role you will need to interact with all key stakeholders, provide timely reporting and analysis of the project updates and schedules.

Primary Duties:

● Document control management throughout the project lifecycle.

● Assist with the development and management of project schedules and timelines for all deliverables that are required for each project which include creating long- and short-term plans, including setting target dates for milestones, and adhering to project deadlines.

● Assist with the management of executing project tasks, engagement with appropriate internal and external key stakeholders, and proactively alleviate roadblocks.

● Maintain good relationships with all clients, owners, developers, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, municipal authorities, and company personnel involved with the project.

● Assist with the design and development of project and program schedules.

● Assist with project forecast and overall project risk mitigation. This consist of, but is not limited to track project baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans

● Coordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports

● Assist with managing project budgets.

● Prepare customer cost letters and submit to the customer/client for review and signature

● Assist with managing project data to ensure it is accurately recorded and stored. The data includes but not limited to, applications for service, field data, project calculations, feasibility studies, designs, invoices, and project close-out information.

● Manage client requirements and relevant data to ensure projects are progressing and completed according to project timelines and schedules.

● Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.

● Under supervision perform quality control on project milestones throughout the project lifecycle to ensure standards and guidelines are maintained.

● Assist project team with adjusting and reporting schedule revisions and targets date as needed.

● Assist with developing conceptual models for Business Capability traceability matrix to explain processes to all levels of users.

● Assist with the coordination and scheduling of the Field Team to ensure field data is obtained in a timely manner.

● Coordinate with Permit Department and external stakeholders to ensure permits are obtained in a timely manner.

● Frequently and routinely perform clerical or other office work responsibilities which require the exercise of individual judgement. Assisting with scheduling and coordinating company activities and initiatives.

Position Requirements:

Minimum:

● Bachelor’s degree

● Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking skills.

● Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

● Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

● Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theories.

● Demonstrated knowledge of operating and construction work practices.

● Demonstrated ability to support and enforce a safe work behavior; requires working knowledge of safety rules and regulations.

● Knowledge, understanding, and experience of Electric Utility Engineering practices.

● Ability to independently represent the Company in various industry, regulatory forums, and stakeholder meetings.

● Ability to perform highly complex analysis; formulate recommendations to improve current processes; make sound decisions; understand industry and regulatory trends; evaluate impact of new developments and information involving market conditions.

● Ability and willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.

● Ability and willingness to adhere to Federal, State, Local and company safety regulations and policies. Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time (for example, lifting, entering/existing manhole covers, climbing ladders and scaffolding, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, and squatting).

● Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions, on or around energized equipment, in confined spaces, underground, in heavy traffic and in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment.

● Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and work sites.

● Must possess a valid driver’s license.

● Must pass the Criminal History Background Check which consists of a 7-year criminal record for felony convictions.

● Must successfully pass a medical screening to include drug test.

Preferred:

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Project Management

● 1-3 years of internal utility company experience or equivalent experience.

● Project Exposure to project management principles and methodology

● Knowledge of engineering with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform assignments for a specific discipline, various installation, or services.

● Proven working experience in project management.

● Project Management Professional (PMP) certified

● Experience with Primavera P6.

● Experience with Microsoft Project.

● Experience with Redwave

● Experience with GIS/GWD

● Experience with AS8 (Asset Suite 8)
