Job description
The part-time Empowering Women for Success (EWS) Project Coordinator will assist immigrant and refugee women in accessing community resources and working toward their personal, professional, and family goals. The EWS Project Coordinator, working under the supervision of the ESL Program Manager and with the assistance of the Volunteer Coordinator, will oversee the referral services clinic, the supplemental diaper bank, menstrual product distribution, and assist in organizing quarterly informational workshops for clients. Soliciting donations, helping to coordinate supply drives, and networking with local providers will be an essential aspect of this position. (cc29)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Network with local service organizations and volunteers, source donations, coordinate supply drives, and maintain connections with service providers. 40%
Work directly with clients assessing needs, making referrals, performing ongoing follow-up. 30%
Fulfill administrative duties including: client record creation and maintenance, donor base creation and maintenance, donor acknowledgement. 20%
Assist in the coordination of quarterly workshops for EWS clients. 5%
Attend monthly staff meeting, participate in program improvement process, and attend community conferences/trainings. 5%

Visiting off-site locations is very common in this program and each site varies in amenities. Flexibility in dealing with varied physical environments is a benefit in this position.
Working Conditions
The primary location for this position is the main IRS office in Harrisburg. The part time EWS coordinator will also meet off site with community partners, so the ability to operate a vehicle will be necessary. This position also has administrative responsibilities, which require a combination of computer work and face-to-face time with clients and volunteers. In addition, all ESL Program employees are also expected to take part in continuous program improvement meetings and professional development activities.
Education and Experience
Education: BA required
Certifications or Licenses Required: State Police, FBI and ChildLine Clearances, and a valid PA Driver’s License and adequate automobile insurance according to agency policy
Experience: Work/volunteer background with immigrants and/or refugees is required, second language skills (Spanish, French, or Arabic) a plus.
