Job description
The Project and Communications Coordinator IV role will be the focal point and key contributor for all internal and external communications for Plymouth Nathan Lane. The role will report directly to the Site Leader and be a member of the leadership team (Tier IV). The position will be the expert in communications to support site level strategic initiatives, lead a diverse range of projects including employee engagement events, GIDE, philanthropy, and wellness. The role will provide administrative support to the Site Leader and key Tier IV staff (Finance, EHS, Supply Chain, HR, Quality, Engineering, Operations, etc.). The individual will lead projects of strategic importance as assigned by the Site Leader and own tactical administrative tasks as part of their daily responsibilities including locker administration, badge creation, employment verification, etc.
A Day in the Life
- Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Lead or assist with special events and initiatives, Employee Engagement activities/events throughout the year, such as Quality Day, Diversity Day
- Assist with various customer or leadership site visits
- Organize regular All Employee Meetings/leadership update meetings
- Develop regular site-wide email & communications (internal) to keep employees connected to site activities and the broader MDT
- Oversee visual management and facility branding (displays/boards in hallways)
- Write, edit, proofread printed or digital material; both internal and external
- Participate in developing the communication materials for the site strategic vision
- Serve as Philanthropy Liaison and event coordination between cross functional direct and indirect labor teams
- Assist Site Leader and staff with calendar, expense reporting, travel and other diverse administrative duties and projects
- Manage and coordinate facilities projects as assigned by site director
- Prepare and facilitate staff agendas and schedules
- Meeting minutes and tracking action items for leadership team
- Manage the development and reporting of key facility site metrics
- High School diploma or GED and 6+ years of administrative support or project coordination experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Arts/Science in Communications, Marketing, Business or related degree
- 2+ years of internal communications experience and 10+ years administrative experience.
- Advanced knowledge and skill set in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc) and adobe or other creative software
- Advanced knowledge and experience with digital media
- Experience with electronic meeting/calendar coordination and Zoom
- Experience with administrative function, expense reporting and travel planning
- Experience in large event and special project leadership
- Experience dealing with confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience and strength in project management
- Organized, efficient, process oriented
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, as well as maintenance of confidentiality
- Highly proactive, able to work independently, and motivated to perform at a high-level with little supervision
