Job description
  • The person in this role will support the FAE-Logistics' objective to make Assembly Material Handling best-in-industry for human safety, highest quality through part touch reduction, and most efficient utilization of automation technology for non-value-added work reduction.

What you'll be doing:

  • (50%) Project Planning with Plant Logistics and Final Assembly team for upcoming model change.
  • (30%) Evaluating Model change impact to Logistics processes and developing technical equipment change requirements.
  • (10%) Development of new technologies and vendor base for PE (Production Engineering) and Manufacturing Material Handling industry competitiveness improvement within Assembly.
  • (10%) Leading equipment projects from concept to launch for Logistics Automation technology to Assembly across the NAMCs.
  • Close collaboration and relationship building with internal and external groups across Client including TMNA Final Assembly Engineering Project Leaders, NAMC's Pilot team, Logistics,
  • Maintenance, Internal Logistics Engineering regional team, PEPD, and others.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering or technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Assembly Engineering or Internal Logistics Engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to all North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs) as well as Japan for TMC sites and equipment makers.
  • Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required.
  • Candidate will need to travel at least 30% to NAMCs, Canada, Mexico, Japan for Hands on work.
  • Should be able to work in shifts/holidays/weekends as per the business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3D modeling and 2D – AutoCAD, Catia/Inventor – MUST HAVE
  • Robotics experience and PLC programming – MUST HAVE
  • Background Controls EXP
  • Mechanical acumen
  • Great attitude, super enthusiasm, great communication skills, good presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a Team environment.
