POSITION SUMMARY:
The position of the Project Manager serves as the Native American (NA) specialized Coordinated Entry System (CES) Coordinator of NAC and is The Lodge’s emergency shelter manager. They facilitate all single adult homeless housing referrals to NAC in conjunction with NAC’s outreach and engagement specialist, PSH manager and director. They provide the necessary management responsibilities to the guests and staff of The Lodge through initial move-in, orientation of program guidelines and case management services. The ideal candidate will have current knowledge of the Maricopa Regional Continuum of Care (CoC), Single Adult CES, expertise of homeless services in Maricopa County, case management practices, and experience supervising staff with high acuity clients. This position requires the project manager to complete responsibilities of the position in the field and on site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A full understanding of NAC’s philosophy of housing and resident wellness
- Conducts VI-SPDAT assessments for NA single adult experiencing homelessness.
- Coordinates in conjunction with PSH Manager, Outreach and Engagement Specialist and Single Adult CES By Name List (BNL) to quickly identify, determine eligibility, and prepare clients with all vital documents for immediate permanent housing placement.
- Communicates with NAC PSH Property Managers quickly occupy all vacant units.
- Participates in community outreach events and engagement opportunities to promote NAC and to intake those eligible for NAC services.
- Maintain accurate, timely data entry into HMIS and ensure data quality of the project.
- Maintain daily shift report by documenting all guest interactions and incidences on the property and resolve concerns.
- Serve as The Lodge’s point of contact for NAC staff, property owners, community providers, and Maricopa County representatives.
- Manage and determine eligibility for all incoming referrals to The Lodge.
- Communicates The Lodge bed vacancies and coordinate care with community referral sources.
- Liaises with staff, The Lodge owners, and Maricopa County for room readiness and property maintenance needs.
- Ensure guest concerns are heard, addressed, and resolved.
- Lead weekly staff meetings to review all resident progress.
- Creates and maintains staff schedule including approving time off requests and ensuring proper staff coverage for The Lodge.
- Compiles, analyses, and evaluates all required reports and deliverables in a timely manner.
- Executes all supervisory duties in accordance with company policy and applicable laws including the interviewing, onboarding, disciplining, performance evaluations/feedback, and termination.
- Maintains inventory and submits orders for program supplies.,

EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years’ experience in service delivery with increased responsibility OR any combination of related education, professional training or work experience which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform duties
- 1+ year supervisory experience preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
- Knowledge of Permanent Supportive Housing and Housing First model
- Knowledge of the economic, educational and social problems of Native Americans and referral services. Experience in working with the Native American population preferred
- Must be able to work well with others in a team approach
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Ability to multi-task with a high energy level
- MS Office proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, outside service providers, and vendors
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and effective environment for our residents and staff
- Excellent customer service skills

This position is considered to be Exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws. Exempt employees are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per workweek.
