Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Onsite in Jersey City, NJ or Menlo Park, CA

- We are looking for a digital product management professional, with a background in financial services to join our Investing Team.
- Successful candidate will possess knowledge of and interest in the mutual fund, ETF, insurance, and 529 plan space, and experience working with key organizational partners, such as Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Technology.

- The individual will assist in shaping our digital mutual fund, ETF, insurance, and 529 plan offerings, developing digital product solutions and tools with the purpose of growing this business and helping attain a stronger position in the digital investing space.
- We are seeking an individual that can build strong relationships with internal and external partners to take our investing offering to the next level.
- The Investing Team is responsible for making a variety of long-term investing products, such as mutual funds, ETFs, and insurance, available on our platform to our clients.
- The products we manage are a key component of our product spectrum.
- Our target customers are self-directed investors.
- Candidate must be able to strategically assess these customer's needs, come up with solutions, and work within a cross-functional, agile team to design and implement these solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Write user stories to develop new digital products or enhance existing digital products to improve customer engagement and retention, and business reporting, and tracking, then drive implementation.
- Work closely with Technology to design new product solutions, manage the rollout of products and services in a planned and timely manner.
- Keep the pulse of the competitive environment and industry trends.
- Work with Business Intelligence and Market Insights to gather customer, industry, and business data to support decisions and strategic direction.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Investment Strategy to identify new product opportunities and build the business case for these initiatives.
- Work closely with Design and Technology to determine the user interface and experience of new or enhanced products and services.
- Identify and produce necessary reports and analysis to measure results and validate the success of projects.
- Support various aspects of product launches including trading, marketing, operations, service and sales-related elements.
- Support exiting products. This may include issue resolution with internal and external partners, developing content strategy and management, and vendor relationship management.
- Provide management adequate status reports.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience within financial services either in product management, strategy, project management, or other similar roles.
- Knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, insurance, 529 plan, and other investment products. Strong interest in learning about investing.
- Ability to build strong relationships across functions within an organization. Experience in working with internal and external partners in large-scale system integration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to articulate complex issues to cross functional partners.
- Strong project management and analytical skills; ability to manage several initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience with efforts such as product design, product strategy, product launches and regulatory change implementation is preferred.
- Experience with agile methodology and tools used in agile project management (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously and solve problems with a "can do” mindset, delivering high quality results.
- Detail oriented, organized, track record of following through, and a desire to learn more about our business and products.
- Proven ability to think strategically and creatively to design solutions meeting the needs of digital investors.
- Strong analytical skills are a must.
- Good understanding of the brokerage business.
- Should be able to articulate the business and key metrics of a broker dealer.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
