JOB SUMMARY:
- Construction Project Managers oversee and manage construction and development related activities for the grocery retail stores
- Provide guidance to the primary stakeholders as it relates to the project cycle
- Plan, budget and track financial metrics for each project
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Construction Project Managers establish the key project metrics: scope of work, floor plan, construction design, city submittals, construction phases and closeout documents
- Establish the overall project timeline for pre-construction and construction
- Coordinate with leadership teams to help establish project scope and key deliverables including, project start and completion deadlines as well as budget constraints.
- Work closely with Architects and Engineers to establish construction documents consistent with the approved scope of work
- Coordinate with local municipalities to understand and prepare for the required approval process
- Identify and qualify contractors and vendors
- Request and review bids. Hire general contractors and sub-contractor trades
- Conduct weekly project meetings (virtual and onsite) to coordinate between, General Contractor, Sub-contractors, retail team and owners, developers, landlords and franchise representatives
- Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, contracts, monthly payment draws and punch lists
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree required.
- Minimum of 5-years of job related experience.
- Must be skilled in and able to demonstrate the fundamentals of Project Management.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects in various stages at one time
- Able to utilize Excel to budget, track and communicate costs in a timely manner
- Able to function in a fast-paced environment and work within strict timelines
