Job description
The Interim Director/Project Manager of Culinary is responsible for supporting the executive chef and food service leaders in the overall operation of the kitchen and ensuring execution of a high-quality food service operation. The Interim Director/Project Manager performs inspections as required to ensure food safety and sanitation practices are being adhered to and for ensuring staff are competent and complying with food sanitation practices. Performs additional duties, as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management, Culinary Arts, Hotel Restaurant

Minimum Requirements:
Management, Foods and Nutrition, or related field preferred with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree plus 6 years of management experience in a restaurant or institutional service setting.
Experience in a 5-star restaurant management preferred.
Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification for the State of Illinois License required or obtained within ninety days of hire with a valid Serv Safe Certificate or equivalent.
Ability to identify defects in food preparation and service and implement improved quality control procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate within the department and throughout the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Pay Range
$35.65 - $58.71

Placement within the identified pay range is based on individual and market factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, credentials (including licenses and certifications), geographic location, market competition, skill set (including market availability of required skills), assigned/anticipated job tasks, and level of responsibility. These factors are considered without regard to an individual's status as a member of any protect group pursuant to federal, state, and/or local law.
