Note: This position will alternate working remotely with being in the office and will need to report to the CHS Cane Ridge location in Antioch, TN.

Physician Practice Support (PPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Health Systems (CHS).

Summary: Provides education to new and established employees. Completes Compliance Billing Projects and complicated AR projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Serves as trainer for CBO new hires.

Provides continuing education to all staff as policy and procedure and billing software updates occur.

Creates documentation and education material for use in staff training.

Provides training and education to clinic staff through the use of remote Webinar.

Acts as a Subject matter Expert and resource to all PPSI staff.

Accurately and completely documents training participation in employee education files.

Accurately and completely provides feedback to Management Team post training.

Completes Compliance Billing Projects. Including research, corrections in the billing system, maintaining back-up documentation, and maintaining regular communication with the Compliance Department.

Assists AR Teams in resolving complicated billing issues.

Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with clinic employees, corporate personnel, and other associates.

Participates as a member of the CBO travel team supporting PPS go-lives.

This position may require 25%-50% of travel

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years of revenue cycle management with a general knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Some college course work preferred. 5 years healthcare revenue cycle experience or 2 years employment within the organization in a similar role.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must be detail oriented; possess a strong work ethic with problem solving skills and demonstrated Team work skills.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong keyboarding skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) as well as practice management systems.
