Purpose and Description
The Property Landscape Maintenance Supervisor for Orange Park / Fleming Island location is the primary source of leadership for all aspects of these communities working within the Landscape Maintenance Division. In this position, you will clearly communicate contract specifications and work in conjunction with maintenance crew supervisors, Irrigation/Pest Control Managers & their respective teams to perform services in a profitable manner. Your position is responsible for the necessary follow-up & follow-through actions to maintain positive customer relations, quality service delivery, and assistance in the contract renewal process when necessary. You will need to suggest and sell non-contracted landscape management services to meet both the needs of the property and non-contracted landscape management services to meet both the needs of the property and increase customer satisfaction while generating additional revenue for the division.
Duties and Responsibility
· Be a leader of men and maintain the ability to inspire others as an onsite working manager who leads by example. You will be managing and working side by side with your crew.
· Must be at work daily as a manager and be prepared with the understanding that you are the leader in this role!
· Directly oversee and manage both the mow crew and the detail crew for the Orange Park / Fleming Island location.
· Adjust on the fly for employees who are absent or when staff is shorthanded.
· Create and adhere to scheduling for all crews in the Orange Park / Fleming Island Location.
· Must perform frequent inspection of properties and notate issues found on properties.
· Daily inspections of crew safety and safe activity.
· Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with all employees and clients based upon clear and frequent communication, mutual trust, and the ability to meet the customer’s needs.
· Develop “win-win” opportunities for the clients and the company.
· Proactively manage the entire properties through frequent inspection and identifying issues in the landscape before the client brings to our attention. Define a resolution that is within the customer’s needs and budgetary parameters. Clear internal communication regarding issues found during each inspection is critical to our success. Ensure that the property meets or exceeds customer expectations in terms of appearance and beauty.
· Utilize the work order system to carry out tasks with other department heads such as irrigation and pest control.
· Frequent, effective, professional, and timely communication with crew personnel is required.
· Source, interview, train, and manage the maintenance staff. Monitor their activity daily. Communicate adjustments in the schedule as needed to maintain maximum efficiency while ensuring we are providing a quality product.
· Assist in the activity of Irrigation and Pest Control Department Heads when working on the properties.
· Immediately report to upper management any jobs deviating from budgets of time, schedule, cost, or any other factor so we can quickly make the necessary adjustments to maximize our end-result.
· Coordinate the sale, and execution of enhancements and make recommendations regarding qualifying or disqualifying warranty work per the contract or instructions from the Director of Operations.
· Maintain a high level of good housekeeping and care of company assets in the field, vehicles and shop.
· Prepare information for proposals and present in a complete and professional manner according to company standards. Follow up on proposed project and offer value-engineered solutions if needed.
· Ensure that all proposals are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting to customer.
· Respond to all work order inquiries and / or requests for proposals in a timely manner. Maintain record and tracking of all proposals in progress and follow up as necessary to maximize sales opportunities. Aggressively pursue all proposals in progress.
· Work closely with administration departments to ensure all contract administration is timely and accurate.
· Assist in the monthly reporting process for monthly CDD agendas.
· Stay up to date on BMP’s to develop personnel and recommend improved work methods and standards.
· Act in the capacity of a Company Representative and develop community ties to enhance our public image and the Tree Amigos Brand. Maintain positive relations with vendors.
· Produce billing documentation and purchase receipts as necessary in a timely fashion. To be discussed with supervisor.
· Inspect ALL WORK at the end of each working day to ensure a quality product on the grounds as well as the equipment
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
