Job Summary
Primarily responsible for cleaning public areas.
Essential Job Functions
  • Public Area attendants are responsible for cleaning the assigned public areas to include but not limited to all glasses, interior and exterior windows around the property, frames, doors and public bathrooms.
  • Mops and vacuums floors.
  • Empty trash containers.
  • Dusts all areas top to bottom.
  • Wipe down horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Detail of Areas on a Nightly Basis.
  • Cleans area according to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort standards by passing supervisor and manager’s walk-through inspections. Correct any deficiencies found during the inspection and ensure deficiencies are not repeated in the future.
  • Inspects and reports engineering concerns related to the Public Areas or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, injuries, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
  • Performs other job-related duties as directed.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Must be physically able to clean public buildings that vary in size from 500 square feet to 7000 square feet. This includes pushing equipment such as a vacuum, using chemicals, bending at the knees and waist regularly, lifting with the arms regularly, and walking and/or standing for eight-hours.
  • Must be dependable and able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be guest-service oriented.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload, keeping with assigned schedule.
  • Must possess pride in completing assigned tasks to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort standards.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
  • Take every opportunity to impress the guest.
  • Anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
  • Smile, have eye contact and greet guests immediately upon each encounter
  • Wear uniform and name tag with pride.
  • Keep voices and other noise low on guest floors.
  • Be an enthusiastic, helpful, and positive member of the team.
  • Be professional, responsible, and mature in conduct and behavior
  • Be knowledgeable of policies regarding emergency procedures.
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety, security rules and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable about blood borne pathogen procedures.
  • Public area must be courteous, kind, and friendly to all guests and staff that they encounter.
