LaunchSquad is known for building brands from scratch. Together we create public relations programs for innovative startup and mid-stage technology, consumer lifestyle and media companies like Waabi, Climeworks, The Trevor Project and On Running. We are looking for a storyteller to join our team. LaunchSquad is working remotely. We are open to remote work candidates for this opportunity.

LaunchSquad Account Associates are seasoned public relations coordinators capable of thriving in a fast-paced, client-focused work environment. They are active participants on three to four public relations accounts responsible for supporting program activities independently. They have a deep understanding of their client’s stories and provide proactive recommendations & updates to teams about industry news and client objectives.

Account Associates are responsible for keeping the team focused and organized. They build weekly account agendas, monitor industry news, submit executives to speaking engagements, find and pitch client stories to targeted media contacts, and track and report public relations results to the client and team. Account Associates are proficient writers developing their media pitching and content creation skills. They are active learners taking on new activities and responsibilities every day.

Requirements

• 3+ years of public relations experience
• Ability to stay organized and achieve goals across competing projects and deadlines
• Proficient writer and editor
• Demonstrably strong customer service skills
• Passion for consuming the news and following media trends
• Effective facilitator of information and reliable, consistent collaborator on teams
• Direct, transparent, inclusive interpersonal communication skills
• Proven ability to take initiative in executing agreed-upon goals and responsibilities
• Track-record of sustained, high-quality work in fast-paced environments

Salary & Benefits

• Account Associate salary range is $48,000 - $55,000 depending on experience.
