Thompson First Group is seeking a Purchasing Assistant for temporary to hire opportunities for a local client in Aston, PA.

Candidates with a background working in supply chain management, purchasing and have experience working with an ERP.

Description of Duties/Responsibilities

• Learn niche in metal manufacturing and aerospace
• Assist Supply Chain Management in sourcing materials and products for the company
• Communicate effectively with department leaders to ensure the products purchased by company meet each department’s needs
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to acquire inventory counts
• Record purchasing data, and draw from this data for periodic reports
• Take initiative to save the company money on purchases
• Learn how to read blueprints effectively

Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems, and working within ISO9001 and, especially, AS9100 standards are pluses.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
