The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for placing, processing, and scheduling orders for centers and departments.
Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
2+ years of ordering and purchasing experience in a business setting
Expected Areas of Competence
Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
Strong organizational skills
Ability to be key business partner with clinical directors and managers
Demonstrates strong analytical skills
Exhibits a high level of attention to details
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with numerous individuals
Highly motivated, self-starter willing to deliver results and meet strict deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products such as Word and Excel, being able to perform basic formulas in cells and manipulate rows and columns
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate all purchase order approvals and ensure accuracy of all deliveries
Evaluate all purchase order claims and ensure compliance to all company regulations
Coordinate with vendors to maintain optimal product quality and recommend improvements
Utilize most cost-effective use of purchasing methods and payment methods
Document all credit card purchases and match corresponding receipts
Facilitate receipt of purchases for new centers and confirm placement in designated areas
Other Ad hoc reports and assignments
Will support the accounting team as a backup for Accounts Payable function
Note: Successful candidate will undergo a background and drug test at time of hire.
