Magenta Technologies is searching for a motivated QA Engineer who will have the opportunity to become immediately impactful to our business. You will be working closely with our engineering and development teams to ensure that our websites are operating as they should. Specifically, you would be responsible for safeguarding the quality, performance and precision of the core technologies that power our owned-and-operated brands HVAC.com and Furnacecompare.com as well as all of the digital assets of our partner, Trane. Your role would be to make certain our web services and data are scalable, consistent, and stable and that our front-end experiences are world-class.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and execute test plans working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure software quality.
• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases and test suites with minimal supervision
• Identify and track software defects
• Understand and adhere to the testing practices and standards
• Participate in the research and development of new testing processes and tools
• Ensure timely completion of testing tasks escalating problems or issues when encountered
• Work collaboratively in a cross-functional project team ensuring accurate project plans and status reports
• Continuously seek to improve technical skills and business knowledge

What We're Looking For:

• QA Engineers with a minimum of 5 years of professional quality assurance experience who are interested in defining, enacting, and enforcing best practices for software quality throughout our technology stack.
• Experience running tests against RESTful APIs and validating data, testing web and mobile front-end applications, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with modern platform testing tools and the ability to automate test cases to support CI/CD.
• Familiarity building and automating test environments.
• Experience with manual and automated front-end testing OR platform and data testing
• QA and automation tools such as Postman, Shell scripts, Selenium, Cypress or similar UI test frameworks.
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills
• An ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Experience with manual and automated testing
• Experience programming in JavaScript
• Experience with SQL
• A strong desire to learn and grow
