SUMMARY:
Perform inspections and assist QA Supervisor in maintaining a Quality Management System to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications, satisfy contract requirements, and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Source Inspection Delegation responsibility.
- Devise, design, or develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Conducts tests, inspections, audits, verification, and validations to accept product, process, and documentation by confirming adherence to specifications in multiple areas, such as receiving inspection, shipping, Quality Laboratory, etc.
- Conducts visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Initiates and/or completes necessary quality records, reports, logs, test data, and other associated paperwork required to accomplish acceptance, rejection, and movement of material.
- Support Quality Team on Data/Record Scanning and Retention Management Process.
- Support Quality Assurance Supervisor to control the serialization of products.
- Provides feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement regarding product and process design impact on producibility and inspect ability.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5+ years of experience in inspection/quality.
- Strong computer and organizational skills to control quality documents.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to communicate orally and produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper English with all levels of employees and customer organizations.
- Have minimum 2 years of experience in First Article Inspection per AS9102
IV. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports / trains workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
- Supports all areas of the plant regarding all aspects of product quality and quality system applications.
- Ability to coordinate First Article Inspections and support as needed.
- Support Return Material Analysis / MRB as needed or directed to determine root cause and apply effective corrective actions.
- Ensure that we maintain a team atmosphere and work collaboratively with additional departments to support quality related efforts.
- Continuously improves the inspection function to ensure efficient support of quantity of work, and improvement in quality of work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Assurance Supervisor or Quality Manager.
V ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Vision.
- Familiar with basic inspection and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Manufacturing experience with broad process knowledge.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply.
- The ability to deal with multiple priorities and make decisions independently.
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
