JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Works well with customers; shows understanding and patience.
• Receives and gives report of on-coming and off-going shifts by oral and written log.
• Assists patients with showers, baths, grooming, dressing, toileting, and nail care as needed, and assists patients with activities of daily living as described on individual care plans.
• Informs supervisor of changes in customers' conditions and needs. Documents these observations thoroughly and communicates any changes to other staff, family members, physicians, therapists, and responsible parties as appropriate per Center policy.
• Answers call lights and responds appropriately.
• Provides personal services for the customers in a professional and efficient manner.
• Performs dining room duties and assists with dining needs of customers.
• Performs housekeeping duties and maintains a neat and professional environment.
• Makes both occupied and unoccupied beds, per customer service plans.
• Follows medication administration procedures as established by the Center.
• Performs narcotics counts at the beginning and end of the shift with the offgoing and oncoming staff, respectively.
• Orders medications from pharmacy following Center policies.
• Checks MARs for errors and notifies supervisor following Center policy.
• Pulls expired medications or discontinued medications, prepares for drug destruction.
• Assists patients' relatives, visitors, and guests as needed.
• Maintains a positive and professional environment and projects a calm and competent image.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or graduation equivalent is required.
• Current Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certificate is required.
• At least one year of previous experience as a personal care assistant, home health aide, or homemaker is preferred.
• At least one year of administering medications as a QMAP is preferred.
• Has to be covid vaccinated

Location: Lafayette, CO

Shift: 9am to 9pm

Contract: 9 weeks

Pay Rate: $20/hr

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $20.00 per hour
