Quality Assurance Analyst

IMPACT ON BUSINESS

Create and execute test plan, test cases/test scripts based on business requirements, technical requirements, and functional E2E processing. Document test results, log defects, issues, and provide QA status reports to project stakeholders. Provide QA testing and support to assist with providing quality IT deliverables and projects for our business and guests.

INTERACTION

• Reports to the Enterprise QA Manager.
• Extensive interaction with IT, the business, and external vendors (onshore and offshore).

EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS

• Responsible to review and analyze project documents (ex: Business Requirements, Functional Designs, process flows) and create QA test plan, test cases, and test scripts.
• Responsible to work with IT (QA, Dev, PM, BA) for technical, business requirements, and processing to incorporate into QA test plan (functional and end-to-end).
• Create and maintain QA functional and regression test cases/scripts and associated test data for test planning and execution.
• Execute test cases/scripts, document results, and analyze differences in actual results to expected results.
• Log defects/issues and contact IT development team with details, priority, and manage to resolution. Escalate to QA Manager for help and assistance.
• Provide QA status reports to QA Manager and project stakeholders.
• Provide support and assistance to Business Analysts for business UAT if needed.
• Assist QA Manager with defining and implementing QA standards and best practices.
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

• 3 years QA manual testing experience on eCommerce applications with back-end order processing/fulfillment required.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge with experience in Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
• Experience with ALM/QC, JIRA, or similar test tools for test case creation, execution, and defect management.
• System Integration Testing (SIT) experience required with E2E testing between multiple systems preferred.
• Experience with an onshore and offshore delivery model preferred.
• Retail experience with front end and back-end validation with knowledge of AS400, Oracle, SQL beneficial.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Very good written and verbal communications skills with fluency in English. Capable of clearly communicating throughout all levels of the Organization.
