The Opportunity

Reporting to the Corporate Director, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, the role of the Quality Assurance Coordinator is:
Act as the SQF Practitioner and PCQI for the Salt Lake City plant; Prepare, manage and maintain the complete documentation regarding the Food Safety Plan & SQF program; Ensure personnel’s training needs to allow them to accomplish their tasks according to the safe and quality food standards; Carry out surveillances and inspections to ensure the implementation of quality instructions; Plan and ensure the implementation of the verification instruction; Ensure follow-up of nonconformity/complaints (corrective measures, causes of gaps, preventive measures); Validate the mock recall efficiency and put improvements in place, if required Lead Food Safety Plan & SQF audits and participate in customer audits; Prepare and participate to Food Safety Plan / SQF meetings and Management Reviews; Coordinate the annual reassessment of the Food Safety Plan and SQF systems; Support, when needed, the Quality Control Technician and participate in solving quality related issues; Know and enforce the BPH (Good Hygiene Practices) / GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the industry; Comply with company policies / instructions related to the quality system in place (Food Safety Plan / SQF);

The Skills you will bring to the team
Bachelor’s Degree in food technology,food science, dietetics or any other relevant field OR 3-5 years of pertinent experience Knowledge of HACCP standards; Knowledge of good manufacturing and hygiene practices; Experience with SQF standards; Recognized training of the principles to develop a Food Safety Plan; Aromatic knowledge is considered an asset; Have already participated in the implementation of GFSI standards;
