The Security Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for determining how effectively an entity being assessed meets specific security objectives. The test engineer develops and executes test methods to demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls. The Quality Assurance Engineer incorporates test automation where appropriate to drive continuous assessment of targeted systems.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze system specifications/design objectives

• Collaborate with System Developers and cybersecurity team members to develop effective strategies and test plans

• Integrate automated test capabilities with DevOps Pipelines and system oversight processes

• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results

• Produce test reports documenting the test results

• Report bugs and errors to development teams

• Help troubleshoot issues

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the system development lifecycle

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in system testing with a focus on automation testing

• Strong programming skills in Powershell, bash, python, and/or Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, BICEP, and ARM

• Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Watir, or TestComplete

• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jasmine, or Selenium

• Experience authoring Test cases and documenting test results

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and software testing processes

• Understanding of the various aspects of the system development life cycle (SDLC)

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control (GitHub/AzureDevOps)

Security Clearance:

DOD TS/SCI

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure

• Experience producing documentation in Markdown
