We currently have an opening for a QA Technician at our Burleson, TX location.

Position Summary -

This is a key position within F-Wave that will ensure that a quality product is produced while ensuring that the product meets all customer fitness for use requirements. The QA Technician performs various quality checks and testing activities for manufacturing operations, raw materials, quality audits, plant trials, and quality lab maintenance. The QA Technician will also be involved in production and be expected to help the production team when needed.

Role & Responsibilities -

• Assure all activities are performed safely.
• Audit lab and manufacturing processes. Conduct calibration and maintenance of quality lab testing equipment.
• Conduct routine testing of finished products, raw materials, and review real-time quality and process data.
• Communicate effectively with production operators and managers. Assist in production when needed.
• Conduct routine audits of identified production/finished goods to monitor performance of plant quality systems.
• Conduct investigation, and testing of customer complaint material and other production line off-quality issues.
• Utilize and maintain various computer-based programs to store and analyze process and product data for degree of stability and conformance to standards. Generate required reports for product and quality system performance.
• Develop test methods to measure product performance. Participate in the design and execution of product trials, process-improvement trials, and other trials. Participate in field testing and analysis of customer requirements.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and be capable of communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others. Proven ability to work on a team and handle deadlines and changing priorities.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Must manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Must have excellent math skills. Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds and drive a Forklift.
• Proactively performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements -

• Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Training in good laboratory practices, demonstrated experimental accuracy and attention to detail.
• Background and experience with manufacturing of plastics or building products is preferred.
• Effective PC skills with MS Word, Excel, Minitab (or similar), and Outlook.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and be capable of communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others. Proven ability to work on a team and handle deadlines and changing priorities.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Must manage multiple assignments effectively.
