NOV Pressure Control Group is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Dimensional Inspector to join our team at 12950 West Little York Road. The main responsibilities of this role include:

JOB SUMMARY

Perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations of a visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inspections on components.
• Perform source inspections at facilities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
• Review inspection records received for compliance.
• Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
• Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for nonconforming parts.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Verify documentation from vendors
• Perform dimensional inspection of the parts using various measuring equipment
• Able to use measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, comparators and other inspection equipment
• Perform visual inspection of the parts
• Perform First Article, In-process and Final Inspection
• Perform hardness testing using Brinell and Rockwell Hardness Testers

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous inspection experience preferred.
• Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material specifications, and requirements.
• Ability to pass dimensional inspection training and testing.
• Possess knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
• Must maintain NDE Certification throughout employment at NOV
• Knowledge of ABS and DNV requirements for drilling equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of API 8C, 6A, and 16A requirements is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn different software programs.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, as required.
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Experience in performing weld startups and visual inspection of various welds
• Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Section IX
• Working knowledge of AWS symbols.
• Experience in Dimensional Inspection Required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years minimum of Dimensional Inspection experience
• Experienced with quality documentation is required
• Knowledge of NDT documentation is preferred but not required
• AWS Certified Welding Inspection experience is preferred but not required
