Emerson is currently seeking a Quality Control Manager to work in Marshalltown, IA The individual selected for this role will work in a dynamic, high-tech production facility dedicated to the manufacture of large, custom-designed control valves.

AS A QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER YOU WILL:

• Establish and monitor quality control policies and procedures that ensure compliance to all quality standards, specifications, and requirements associated with the procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and test of products and services.
• Drive improvements through use of the Corrective Action Process and Nonconformance system.
• Accountable for managing day-to-day operations to maximize production while improving quality, on-time delivery, and safety levels while reducing costs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems.
• Assures that objectives stated above are attained without violation of terms agreed to in union contract.
• Coordinate and communicate with all levels of the organization.

WHO YOU ARE:

You balance planning with actions. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You convert ideas into actions and produce results with new initiatives. You define issues and can map out a process.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience or experience leading cross functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication sills.
• Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Excellent understanding of CMM programming techniques.
• Understand and related proper measurement techniques and sequences as well as working knowledge of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD & T)
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ISO 9000, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21).
• Experience in the development of quality systems, procedures, methods, and personnel.
• Strong understanding of Fisher products and their part relationships as they relate to fit, form, and function of the product design.
