Job description

The Quality Control Specialist will physically inspect all materials received, conduct pre/post run inspections, conduct quality checks throughout runs, inspect any items being assembled by Chappell Supply and Equipment, (CSE) employees and assist with ongoing training in all areas. This position requires attention to detail, multi-tasking, and ability to communicate clearly at all levels within CSE along with external customers and suppliers. This is considered a safety sensitive position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Verify inspection equipment and all other production equipment are calibrated
Identify and manage nonconforming material
Communicate with Management on Quality related issues
Responsible for ongoing QC training for all CSE employees
Responsible for QC of in-process and final assembly
Understands First In First Out (FIFO) product rotation
Responsible for Quality release of finished goods from production
Request updates regarding QC specifications as needed
Maintains procedures and processes in order to ensure compliance with Companys quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Have at least 1 year of recent Quality Control Specialist experience
Proficient in Microsoft applications.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Have a stable work history
Highly organized
Reliable and dependable.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information
Have the ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
Ability to take instruction and clearly communicate instruction
Detail oriented, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ascending or descending ladders to move merchandise
Ability to complete orders and routine forms on the computer as well as conduct routine oral communication in person or over the phone
Be able to frequently move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Be able to coordinate movement of the fingers and hands to pack and/or unpack equipment and related parts as well as have the adequate dexterity and strength to complete tasks.
Able to compute, analyze and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes
Be able to use upper extremities to frequently exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion
Able to see and read computer monitors and be able to detect specific noises, proper equipment operation and understand what others are saying
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance and check results for accuracy
Be able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse
Be able to stand and move about regularly

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
