Asphalt Specialties Co., Inc. is a Colorado family-owned corporation. We specialize in meeting individual customer needs while providing quality products and services throughout the Front Range of Colorado. We supply a full range of building materials including aggregate, asphalt and aggregate recycled products.
Currently we are seeking a Quality Control Technician to work as part of our QC team. The QC Technician performs routine field and laboratory tests. Performs routine field observations for purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications. Responsible for proper procedures, accurate computations, cordial relationships with clients and/or contractors. Prepares daily report of activities for review by supervisor. Operates with moderate supervision. May be called on to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. This position reports to the Quality Control Manager or Supervisory Technician
Summary:
The basic responsibilities of the QC Technician include, but are not limited to the following:
· Must be able to follow all ASCI safety protocols.
· Must be able to work long hours and weekends.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs often.
· Prepares daily and data reports of testing and inspection.
· Prepares non-compliance notices and correction records with consultation with Supervisor or Quality Control Manager.
· Troubleshoots field and laboratory work.
· Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Registration and Certification: LabCAT Level A preferred. LabCAT Level B,C,E desirable, but willing to train the right individual.
Education and Experience: High School. Minimum two years of asphalt testing experience preferred.
