Primary Function:

Accountable for bringing new products to the market through research, lab trials, and validation.

Responsible for formulation development of solid dose and liquid veterinary products. Ability to navigate across various departments to execute tactical plans to achieve financial targets while managing costs and improving margins.

Key Responsibilities:

· Works closely with customers and internal resources to develop and launch new products and support existing products.

· Is lead role in bring products to market but analyzing and developing formulations and processes.

· Organizes resources to ensure customer needs are met with regard to quality, delivery, prompt response to requests, etc.

· Prioritize project activities and technical support needed to ensure consistency with customer needs, business strategy and commercial pipeline.

· Understand product category profitability and customer profitability. Provide suggested pricing based on target price for the overall business while taking into consideration sales target price requests.

· Drive product and marketing programs with sales and product development.

· Work with customers and internal resources to provide customer forecast information.

· Generate competitive and industry market intelligence.

· Author master batch records, SDS, and process validation protocols and reports.

· Lead role in process validation initiatives as needed.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

· Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), in Science or related field, or a minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience

· Minimum 5 years in R&D formulation in solid dose experience

· Knowledge in R&D bringing products to market

· Strong knowledge of common pharmaceutical raw materials, their applications, and the principles of formulation development

• Proactive and independent worker
• Familiarity with regulatory standards including GMP.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

· Computer skills in MS Office, JMP or equivalent

· Strong organizational skills

· High degree off professionalism, ethics, and integrity

· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
